What is AlphaTango?
AlphaTango is the official portal of the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) for civil drones. It is where every operator, professional or recreational, registers their profile, declares their aircraft and completes their administrative formalities with the French authority.
Available at alphatango.aviation-civile.gouv.fr, it centralises operator registration, drone registration, the Open category online training and the flight declarations required for certain operations.
Who must register on AlphaTango?
Registering on AlphaTango is a legal requirement as soon as you operate a drone that falls within scope.
- Any drone over 250 g, for professional or recreational use
- Any drone fitted with a camera, whatever its weight
- Professional operators as well as private individuals
- Free registration, to be renewed every year
How to register on AlphaTango
Registration is done online, in a few steps, on the DGAC portal.

Create your account
Go to alphatango.aviation-civile.gouv.fr and create your operator account (individual or company).

Register your operator profile
Complete your details to obtain your UAS operator number, to be displayed legibly on your aircraft.

Declare your drones
Add each aircraft; class C1 to C6 drones must be linked to their serial number.

Validate your training
Complete the Open category online training and obtain the certificates matching your operations.
