Connect your DJI RC Plus to Waypoint360

Through the DJI Cloud API and DJI Pilot 2, your DJI RC Plus controller sends your flight telemetry, media and thermal images live to Waypoint360 — on your own cloud.

The real-time DJI × Waypoint360 integration

On DJI Enterprise drones flown with DJI Pilot 2, Waypoint360 connects to the DJI Cloud API. The DJI RC Plus controller establishes a direct link with Waypoint360 and streams flight data as you fly.

No more manual file exports: telemetry, photos, videos and thermal images flow in automatically during or after the flight, ready to feed your missions and reports.

What the real-time connection unlocks

Beyond log import, the Cloud API opens access to rich flight data.

  • Live telemetry: position, altitude, speed and battery during the flight
  • Photos and videos pushed automatically to your storage
  • Original R-JPEG thermal images, ready for analysis
  • Live video streaming from the controller

Your data, on your cloud

Unlike closed platforms, Waypoint360 pushes your flights and media to your own storage. Your thermal images and telemetry stay with you — not with a third party. Data sovereignty is at the heart of the integration.

Compatible hardware

The real-time connection relies on the DJI Cloud API and DJI Pilot 2.

  • DJI Enterprise drones: Matrice 4TD / 4D, Mavic 3 Enterprise
  • DJI RC Plus controller with DJI Pilot 2
  • DJI thermal cameras for radiometric R-JPEG imaging

How to connect your DJI RC Plus

A few steps to link your controller to Waypoint360.

  1. 1

    Declare your fleet

Register your DJI drones in Waypoint360 to link their flights to your organisation.

  2. 2

Open Waypoint360 in DJI Pilot 2

On the DJI RC Plus controller, launch the Waypoint360 module inside DJI Pilot 2.

  3. 3

    Authorise the connection

The Cloud API licence verifies access and links the controller to your Waypoint360 workspace.

  4. 4

Fly — the data flows in

During and after the flight, telemetry, media and thermal images are sent automatically to your cloud.

Real time or log import?

Log import stays free and works with every DJI drone, after the flight. The real-time Cloud API connection goes further — media, thermal and live — for DJI Enterprise drones flown with DJI Pilot 2.

Frequently asked questions about the DJI RC Plus connection

Which DJI drones do I need?

The real-time connection relies on the DJI Cloud API, available on DJI Enterprise drones such as the Matrice 4TD/4D and Mavic 3 Enterprise, flown with DJI Pilot 2 on the DJI RC Plus controller.

Where is my data stored?

On your own cloud. Waypoint360 pushes your flights, media and thermal images to your storage — your data is not handed to a third-party platform.

How is it different from DJI log import?

Log import reads a flight file after the fact and is free for every DJI drone. The real-time connection streams telemetry, media and thermal data live during the flight, for DJI Enterprise drones.

Are thermal images supported?

Yes. Original R-JPEG thermal images are transferred to your cloud, ready for radiometric analysis and your inspection reports.
