The entry point of the series, with one difference to know

The Lito 1 sits below the X1 on two points: a smaller sensor, and images that go to a microSD card instead of internal storage.

Those are the two things that separate the models, and they also decide what you have to buy on top.

DJI gives a maximum takeoff mass of 340 g. The 249 g figure is the aircraft in standard configuration; what you add to it counts. Above 250 g at takeoff, the aircraft is no longer within the conditions of its C0 marking: the flight subcategory changes, and the A1/A3 certificate becomes required.

The entry-level price is what misleads most often: it suggests a toy. Operator registration is due as soon as there is a camera, whatever the price paid.

What it does well

  • Under 250 g in standard configuration, so category A1 with no mandatory exam
  • 48 MP, with the cropping that allows
  • The lowest entry ticket of the series
  • Expandable storage, unlike the X1

What to know before buying

  • The sensor is smaller than the X1's: the gap shows above all in low light
  • The microSD card is not supplied, and the aircraft does not film without it
  • Operator registration is mandatory despite the entry-level positioning
  • Model announced on 23 April 2026: few third-party accessories for now

Propeller guards, measured as a real need

On this aircraft, propeller guards are the most sought-after accessory after the battery, and that makes sense: it is a drone you learn on, often indoors or near people.

What they bring:

  • They limit the damage on contact with a wall, a branch or a hand
  • They make close flying acceptable to the people around
  • They protect fingers above all, not just the aircraft

What they do not change: the rule. Guards create no right. Flying over assemblies of people remains prohibited with or without them, and the flight subcategory does not move.

⚠️ They also add mass. On an aircraft whose standard weight is 249 g, anything fitted has to be weighed against the 250 g line.
